The Glenville Local Development Corporation (“GLDC”) is recruiting for a variety of voluntary opportunities for Committee assignments within the organization. The GLDC provides funding for local Glenville businesses through low cost loans and since inception in 2012 it has invested over $500,000 in town businesses. The organization works on a volunteer basis and interested parties can learn more about the various programs from the website at www.glenvilleldc.org. Committees include: Audit and Finance, Business Development, Loan Review and Governance. Some experience with general business, finance, community relations or economic development is valued but not required. Interested parties are invited to submit a letter of interest and a brief resume or personal background including any specific individual experience in finance, accounting, marketing and/or organization of business operations. The GLDC meets the last Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM in the Glenville Town Hall. The meetings are open to the public and they provide an excellent opportunity for interested parties to observe how the organization functions in the creation of jobs and attracting businesses to the town.

About the Glenville Local Development Corporation
The Glenville Local Development Corporation (GLDC) is a 501-(C)3 not-for-profit public benefit agency, independent from the Town of Glenville. The GLDC is qualified as an organization serving the development needs of the communities of non-entitlement areas as defined by sec, 105(a)15 of Title I of the Housing and Development Act. The GLDC can help qualified businesses and not-for-profit organizations relocate, expand, and build in the town of Glenville. Using financing incentives and other support, we can assist eligible companies cut the cost of acquiring, and equipping industrial, commercial, and manufacturing projects. Mission Statement
The GLDC serves as a resource to stimulate economic development within the Town of Glenville through the growth of new and existing businesses, and through numerous initiatives designed to benefit the citizens of Glenville.
Governance
A five member board oversees the activities of the Glenville Local Development Corporation, pursuant to a Town of Glenville Board Resolution adopted May 9, 2013. This independent board is comprised of a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, and treasurer. In addition there are several standing committees that include Governance, Audit & Finance, Loan review, and Business Development.

The meeting for 9/27/2023 has been postponed. The new date is 10/4/2023 at 4 PM.
GLDC regular Board meetings are planned to be held the last Wednesday of each month, 4:00 PM at the Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road. Changes to planned meeting dates will be communicated through this web site and the Town of Glenville.
